Elementary School Clubs&Activities

Fridays during the 2018-2019 school year. Tutoring will only occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both clubs and tutoring occur from
2:30 – 3:10.

  • Tutoring is by invitation only; and is reassigned 3 times throughout the year.
  • Students may be in 2 clubs, if there is not a waiting list for the second club choice.
  • Clubs will have a maximum of 20 members, unless indicated.

buildings, aircrafts and many more

Monday Yoga Club Canbekli K-1 Yoga Club is a chance to slow down and learn the basic yoga poses, which help reduce stress and increase flexibility and strength. 18 students allowed due to space of this classroom
Monday Craft Club Buelow K-1 Students will explore mathematical and spatial concepts through the use of different art materials.
Monday Puppet Theater Glazier/ B. Wagner K-2 Students will write and direct their own theatrical stories using puppets. 40 Students allowed
Monday Paper Arts Schiavone K-2 Students will explore different art techniques through the paper arts.
Monday Health &Fitness McCall/Johnson 1-2 Students will learn about Health and Fitness through fun activities and games 40 students allowed
Monday Friendship,Collaboration & Games Bettingen 1-3 Students will enhance friendship skills, and engage in collaborative activities and games.
Monday Dance Club Jolcover 2-4 Students will learn different dance styles including tap, ballet, hip hop, swing,
ballroom, and more.
Monday Pre-Math Counts Club Grey 2-4 Students who would like to prepare for Math Competitions or improve their
math skills are invited to this club.
Eligible students in CASE will still be allowed to participate in monthly
competitions, even if they are not in this club.
Monday Science through Art Rakban 2-4 Students will use their creativity to make different art projects while learning the science concepts behind/related to them.
Monday Turkish Language Club Cayir 2-4 Students will learn some basic Turkish
expressions, sentences and words and,
at the same time, they will participate ub
some Turkish children songs & games.
Monday Legos Club Lis 2-4 Students will be engaged in hands-on experiences. Students can explore core
STEM concepts and link them to real-life phenomenon.
Monday STEAM Arts and Crafts Grigsby 3-4 STEAM inspired arts and crafts activities
Monday &Friday Lego Robotics, Jr. A. Wagner 3-4 Members are challenged to research a real-world problem and come up with a
solution as a team. These are presented at a Saturday competition (Date: TBD)

Monday Science Olympiads Gordon/Payne 3-4 Science Olympiad is one of the premier
science competitions in the nation,
providing rigorous, standards-based
challenges in science, technology,
engineering and math (STEM).
Friday Craft Club Michael K-1 Students will explore mathematical and
spacial concepts through the use of
different art materials.
Friday Puzzle Club Shockley K-3 Students will be using our brains to
solve, create, and unscramble puzzles
such as jigsaw, brain teasers, and
combination puzzles.
Friday Club Sumdog Richmond K-4 Students will compete in in online math
games to earn coins. Coins can be
redeemed to update the student’s avatar
and decorate the student’s virtual home.
Friday Art & Environment Jeffreys 1st Only Students will create art using environmental mediums.
Friday Building Bricks Lego Club Tandogan 1st Only This club is for students to play, create,
collaborate, and cooperate. In Building
Bricks Lego Club, students will build

Friday Games and Puzzles Shields 1-2 Students will enhance cooperation and
friendship skills through playing games

nature activities; indoor and outside will
be included.
Friday Animation Club Schiavone 3-4 Students will create an animated video
through stop motion animation.
