Does CAS have tuition?

Although there is no tuition to attend Coral Academy of Science, like most public schools we do have consumable/semester supplies fees. Fees for K-5 are $160/semester and for grades 6-12 fees are $110/semester.


How do I apply for the Coral Academy?

Under the quicklinks tab, you will find a drop-down menu, in the menu you can find the APPLY NOW button. This will bring you to the form to apply online.


Where do I purchase uniforms?

Uniform shirts can be purchased via our website under the QuickLinks tab. They are shipped directly to your home for your convenience. Bottoms and shoes can be purchased at a retailer of your choice as long as they follow the uniform guidelines found in the CAS handbooks found on each campus tab found under the campus link.

 


I applied online but have not heard back. Was my child chosen from the lottery?

If you have received a confirmation of submission, but have not yet heard from us in regards to registering your scholar, it means your student is currently on the waiting list. Should an opening occur and your student be next, the appropriate campus registrar will be in contact to complete the registration process. 


Does CAS offer a before and after care program?

Here at Coral Academy of Science Elementary locations, we utilize a program called Champions Child Care. They are a separate entity from Coral Academy, thus requiring their own registration and payment but held on site for your convenience. For more information regarding hours, fees, and registration, please visit their website at discoverchampions.com. The North ES also utilizes Kings Row Community Center for both before and after-school care (off-site). For more information, go to www.kingsrowclc.org. The Boys and Girls Club (Ninth St.) offers only after-school care. Please head to www.bgctm.org. Registration and payment for all of these programs are done directly through the program itself, not the Coral Academy of Science.

The MS and HS locations also utilize the Boys and Girls Club, Ninth St. location.


Does Coral Academy have a lunch program?

Coral Academy of Science does offer a lunch service for a fee. The lunch program is through PoiBoy Catering. See the attached for details.***Please note, lunches can not be purchased at school or on the day of. If you choose not to participate in the lunch service, please be sure to include any required utensils with your student’s lunch. Please note, microwaves and refrigerators are NOT available for student use. Please plan lunches accordingly.

 


How old does my student have to be in order to enroll in kindergarten?

Students must be 5 years old by the first day of school in order to enroll in kindergarten. 


What is the earliest I can apply to the Coral Academy of Science?

The application window for each academic year typically opens the October before the school year you are applying to. For example, the application window for the ‘30/31 academic year will open in October of ‘29. 

Any applications received from the time the application window opens to the day before the lottery will be placed in the lottery. Any applications received after the lottery date will be placed on a waiting list in the order in which they were received.
